During the month of November we have been remembering the faithful departed.
First and second class made a Garden of Remembrance display for our loved ones.
We especially remember everyone in our school community who have had a bereavement .
Eternal rest grant on to them O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon them.
Amen

3rd and 4th Class set off exploring in Laghey village last week. We were looking at the different types of houses and buildings. Our walk led to lots of discussions on planning permission, derelict buildings, Bus Eireann v Local Link, favourite takeaway, Velux windows to name a few!

A great afternoon out exploring our local area!

Oh what fun we had today with our ghosts, goblins and witches!
We even had Donald Trump and Kamala Harris take time out of their Presidential campaign to pay us a visit!
The children were disguised in fabulous costumes and credit is due to all parents for organising such a display. We had lots of fun throughout the school with Rice Krispie buns being made, Halloween games being played and lots of talk and discussion on the various costumes. A thoroughly enjoyable day.
Enjoy the disco this evening!
Wishing you all a very safe Halloween.
Enjoy the break and we will look forward to seeing you all on 4th November.

Mary Gallagher visited 1st and 2nd class to talk about school life in the past. The children interviewed her about her school days and compared her memories to school life now.
Mary is a grandmother to many children in our school and is pictured with some of her grandchildren.
She is also a very valued member of our staff as our school cleaner.
Thank you Mary for everything you do for our school community.
